Dialogue processes help people to:

Talk together, listen and reflect more effectively.
Perceive and influence hidden dynamics and assumptions that obstruct the flow of conversations.
Enable ‘real-time' exchange of information, thoughts and feelings to assist genuine understanding and sharing.
Anticipate breakdowns in communication and understand them as the natural result of expanding relationships.
Draw to the surface the ‘undiscussables' without inciting people to anger, rather inviting them to talk about dangerous subjects in an atmosphere of mutual interest and discovery.

You see it at planning days when people just take off in their own discussion. Dialogue sets up a deeply reflective capacity when people have enough confidence in others that they can put aside their own status and feel united in a common purpose. Sometimes it’s not clear what will manifest but it gradually comes together.
